The African American Fund

The African American Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation was established in 1993 to support projects that improve the quality of life of our African American community. That investment, through this endowment, is remarkable and profoundly appreciated.

Through the generous contributions of Greater Cincinnati Foundation donors like you, grants have been awarded to nonprofits working with the African American community. 

Grant recipients include: 

• The African American Chamber Education and Resource Foundation to provide its members with learning and networking opportunities aimed at improving the economic status of African Americans in the region.  
• The Amos Project is a multi-congregation, social justice community organization. It organizes congregations around community issues that impact the poor and working families.  
• Chatfield College aims to provide a quality, liberal arts education. Its Learning to Live program received a grant.

• Individuals, companies, and foundations may make current and planned gifts of any size to The African American Fund. These gifts support the critical work that helps our community thrive.
